瑞康屋總經理蔡蕙玲|健康煮藝 經營幸福人生 Cooking Delight

創立瑞康屋十多年,從零開始起步,一點一點擴張到今日全台擁有超過百人員工的成功企業,對過去從來沒想過要創業的瑞康屋總經理蔡蕙玲而言,她從沒想過能不能成功,她心中只有一個想法,就是全力、全心地做,不輕言放棄。

Over the past decade, RAKENHOUSE started from zero to a company with more than a hundred employees. The General Manager of RAKENHOUSE Ms. Vivia Tsai had no experiences of starting the business, yet with her dedication and determination, the result came in with success. She is humble and appreciated for what she has achieved, even till today, she still leading RAKENHOUSE with passion and dedication.

這天來到瑞康屋士林旗艦店,一踏進店內,滿室濃郁的雞湯香撲鼻而來,原來是有客人想知道瑞康屋鍋子的成效如何,於是拎著一隻雞請店員示範,我們就這麼伴著雞精香氣與瑞康屋總經理蔡蕙玲進行訪談。

煉雞精,其實對瑞康屋而言是公司成功踏出第一步的重要關鍵。這段緣起要從2008年蔡蕙玲創立瑞康屋說起,為確保所代理的鍋具擁有最高品質,她親自到瑞士談代理、挑鍋具,並且到工廠深度了解生產線細節。就在一切前置作業完成,產品已從瑞士出貨即將抵台進港之際,瑞康屋卻在國內百貨通路遭到全面封殺;同一時間,蔡蕙玲的母親被檢查出罹患癌症,必須接受化療。蔡蕙玲面臨產品無處可賣的窘境,還要往返醫院照顧母親,為了幫助母親吸收足夠營養,她用自己代理的鍋具煉雞精給母親喝,因為對自家鍋具的深入了解,她發明了相應的配件,可以利用自家的壓力鍋提煉雞精。

也因為需要時常帶著湯湯水水的食物到醫院,讓她進一步研發出適合外帶的防溢提鍋,因為自己的經驗與需求,也也意外讓瑞康屋找到通路契機:醫院,她開始在醫院駐點銷售。這段特殊的創業經驗,除了帶給瑞康屋不一樣的起步,也讓蔡蕙玲堅定地結合「健康」作為品牌的經營方向。

健康人生的經營哲學

瑞康屋將健康飲食融入公司文化,產品的核心價值則是品質,她對鍋具的結構、鋼材、以及使用性都有高度要求,不僅親自試用挑選,也重視產品在市場上的差異性。早期台灣市場充斥著以工業鋼材製成的劣質鍋具,她始終堅持公司所銷售的鍋具一定要使用304L以上等級且厚度夠厚的食用鋼材,在她的觀念裡,消費者的權益與健康比賣出多少個鍋子還要來得重要,她也堅信,只要產品品質好、認真經營,就會被看見。蔡蕙玲笑言自己一輩子都在賣鍋子、一輩子只做這件事,也因為她如此專注,奠定今日她在鍋具界無人企及的專業性。

蔡蕙玲更針對台灣當地的料理需求,研發適合自家鍋具的配件,並研究更健康、保鮮且營養美味的料理方法,不僅推出食譜、開班授課,近期瑞康屋還與營養師結合、與中醫師合作落實食療概念,搭配瑞康屋的鍋具,推廣少水無油且減少烹調時間的健康食療養生料理。蔡蕙玲說,她希望藉由鍋具與消費者共同建立追求健康、經營幸福生活的食尚態度。

When first stepping into the Flagship Store of RAKENHOUSE in Shilin, the mellow aroma of chicken essence was all over the air. Earlier today, a client wanted to know how does the Stockpot work, so he carried an entire chicken to the store. RAKENHOUSE confidently began the demonstration, which our interview was filled with the tasty aroma of chicken essence. 

Extracting chicken essence is one of the best features of DUROMATIC® Stockpot. The story originated when Ms. Vivia Tsai first pursued in her career. RAKENHOUSE is established in 2008, to ensure the high quality of all products, Ms. Vivia Tsai flew to Switzerland to not only indicate distributorship agreement, but also to visit the factories and get a fully understand of the process of the making. When everything was going as planned, RAKENHOUSE was rejected by all sales channels, at the same time, Ms. Vivia Tsai’s mother was diagnosed with cancer and needed to take chemotherapy. Facing such dilemma of business and family, Ms. Tsai was in despair. The products were no where to sell, while she spent most of the time in the hospital and took care of her mother, who had a decreasing appetite. To help her mother absorbing enough nutrition, she started extracting chicken essence for her mother by using DUROMATIC® Stockpot. Due to her deep understanding of the product, she invented kitchen utensil accessories for the pressure pot so she can easily extract chicken essence at home.

After trying this new invention, Ms. Tsai’s mother was able to eat and asborb enough nutrition to complete the unbreable chemotherapy. In order to make sure the essence carry on in the pot while commuting, Ms. Tsai brought her invention to the next level, the anti-spill pot. It is developed to satisfy her self-experience and requirements, but with blessing she found a new group of customers while in hospitals. She was inspired to begin the product promotion in the hospital. It’s a special experience, which not only guided the RAKENHOUSE to a different start but also made Ms. Vivia Tsai committed to taking “the integration of health concepts” as the principle of RAKENHOUSE. 

Healthy Cooking

Healthy cooking and diet is the spirit of RAKENHOUSE, and the core value of the products fall on quality. Ms. Vivia Tsai has high requirements for the structure, steel materials, and usability of the kitchen utensils; in addition to making selection personally after tryouts, she emphasizes product differentiation in the market. In the early years, though Taiwan’s market was filled with the kitchen utensil made with lower quality of industrial steel, she insisted on making kitchen utensils with the type 304L or higher graded stainless steel. Seeing through her perspective, consumer’s rights and health are more important than the number of pots sold. She strongly believes that the brand will be seen as long as it has good quality products and effective management. 

Ms. Vivia Tsai had develop kitchen utensils to fulfill Taiwan market’s demands. Recently, RAKENHOUSE published recipes and started its own cooking classes. In addition, RAKENHOUSE also cooperate with nutrients and Traditional Chinese Physician, to offer a set of pots that can make healthier dishes that are less time consuming. Running RAKENHOUSE is not just a business to Ms. Vivia Tsai, this is the way she brings healthy cooking and lifestyle in order to share with all people.
