With warmth and unwavering proactivity, Delia Tseng is always a promoter of the things she is passionate about. Whether advocating for minority communities, offering support to solo agers, or empowering young dancers to pursue their dreams, she believes love is a fluid energy that transforms individuals and brings warmth to society. Through her relentless efforts, she continues to iterate the value of “giving and companionship.”
“Charity has always been a part of my life. Year after year, I remain committed because I believe it is important—it’s a form of responsibility,” Delia says gently. From hosting charity banquets for the elderly to establishing global platforms for breakers, her philanthropic vision may span diverse initiatives. However, they are bonded by the common purpose: “To bring visibility to the unseen, restoring confidence and dignity to those who need it.”

A Holistic Approach to Elderly Care
When it comes to charity, Delia Tseng’s eyes shine with determination. For years, she has been dedicated to the well-being of solo-agers, offering material support and emotional care through the Taiwan U-Life Association. “Beyond financial assistance, I’ve placed great emphasis on enriching the lives of solo-agers,” she shares, “I realize seniors need more than tangible support; they need emotional connection and a sense of belonging.”
She recalls a particularly touching charity gala organized exclusively for elderly guests. “I imagined that many of them may have never had the chance to attend an event like this,” she shares, “We had professional makeup artists do their makeup, along with elegant evening dresses, which brought many of them to tears.”
But this was more than just a banquet; it was a moment that touched the soul. As the guests saw themselves in the mirror restored with a youthful glow, their radiant smiles were the most precious highlight of the night. “They may live in solitude, but tonight, they were not only cared for, they were celebrated,” Delia says. Through promoting these meaningful events, she hopes to remind seniors that they deserve to be seen, cherished, and loved.
The seed of love was also sowed in her children. Starting with simple shared moments, her children now proactively participate in charity events. Delia sees love being paid forward: “I used to ask if my children wanted to take part, but now they’re the ones asking ‘Mom, may I come along?’ Even their youngest siblings would ask how come their sister could go and not them,” she laughs. Watching her eldest daughter attend charity events independently has been a profoundly rewarding transformation, reaffirming Delia’s commitment to promoting charity events.

Breaking on the Global Stage
When breaking was officially recognized as an Olympic sport, Delia Tseng knew this was a defining moment. It is an unprecedented opportunity for Taiwan’s dancers to step into the international spotlight. Yet passion alone would not be enough; structured training and resources were essential. Determined to elevate Taiwan’s breakers to world-class status, she launched the YongLin Breaking Training Program designed to equip Taiwan breaking dancers with the systemic coaching they need to compete on the global stage.
“This program has been running for years, but a couple of years ago when breaking was officially confirmed as an Olympic event, we were all thrilled!” Delia recalls their excitement. “Taiwan has an incredible dance community, but many breakers rely solely on relentless self-practice, with little access to resources necessary to compete internationally,” Delia explains. To put these breakers on a bigger stage, the training program introduces world-class coaching, overseas training camps, sports science integration, and psychological support. “It’s tough to make breakthroughs on their own without professional guidance. To truly make it in global competitions, breakers must accumulate ranking points, which requires long-term planning and dedicated support.”
As for athlete candidates, Delia emphasized, “We hope to not only nurture existing top-tier talent, we are also committed to cultivating the next generation of breakers. We carefully scout promising talents and breakers from different age groups to build a sustainable pipeline structure for Taiwan’s breaking scene.” She believes through this initiative, Taiwan’s breakers can then finally claim their place on the international stage.
Despite her deep involvement in the dance community, Delia frankly admits that breaking remains uncharted territory for her. “If I had to pick the most challenging move, it would definitely be the head spin!” she laughs. “That’s way beyond my skill set, I would never dare to attempt it.” But her love for dynamic movement is undeniable. “I was trained in martial arts when I was younger, so whenever I see the dancers flipping and rolling, I can’t help but feel the urge to give it a try.”

A New Chapter: Embracing a Positive Mindset
This year marks a pivotal transition for Delia Tseng. “To be honest, stepping into this stage of life was difficult to accept,” she confesses. “Time passes too quickly…far too quickly.” Yet, she quickly recalibrated and chose to proactively embrace every transition and chapter. “Every phase of life comes with its wisdom. If you shift your mindset, you can navigate each phase with ease, and live with elegance and joy,” she reflects.
Delia mentioned “Exploring new approaches to cultivating a freer, more fulfilling lifestyle has been on my mind these days. Health remains a priority, but I have also been experimenting with various fashion styles that feel effortless yet expressive. These years, the immersion in the young breaker community has influenced my style. I’ve started to complement with oversized, streetwear so I could blend in with younger generations,” says Delia. “Fashion today aligns perfectly with my current mindset: comfortable, effortless, with just the right edge, simple, but with a touch of design. That’s exactly what I want,” she laughed and suggested that it was never about appearance, it was about manifesting self-reflection.
At the core of her philosophy, Delia Tseng believes that a positive mindset is paramount at every stage of life. “You have to learn to release negativity. Don’t let emotions confine you,” Delia says. In recent years, she has noticed a shift within herself, she now approaches difficulties in a breeze with ease and laughter. “My friends tell me I’ve grown stronger, and more at ease,” she says, attributing this newfound serenity to a shift in perspective and her passion for life. Delia remains steadfast in her belief that “Regardless of the passing years, living joyfully and authentically is what truly matters.” She hopes to share love and strength with more people in her way.
