美麗之外,珠寶品牌的溫暖價值 More than beauty, The Warmth of Jewelry brands

日前因為亞馬遜大火事件,將可持續發展的話題在時尚圈也同步延燒出大火,相較於各時尚品牌與母集團因可持續發展與關懷環境的相關議題所掀起的爭議波瀾,珠寶精品似乎相對較遠離爭議風暴中心。

事實上,奢侈品領域對於社會道德、人文環境、動物保育等不同面向的關懷重視,卻未曾缺席,而是以自身的節奏與步伐默默投入慈善公益。

The Amazon rainforest fire incident happened recently triggered the topic of sustainable development in the fashion industry. Compared to fashion brands and their mother companies that are involved in a dispute regarding sustainable development and caring for the environment, the jewelry industry seems to be relatively minor. In fact, the luxury goods sector cares about different aspects of social morality, cultural environment, animal conservation, etc. They were never absent from the movement and has been silently engaging in charity work at their own pace.

蕭邦的Green Carpet系列

蕭邦是目前高端奢侈珠寶領域中,最積極落實可持續發展精神的代表品牌。蕭邦自2013年正式啟動了「通往可持續發展奢侈產業之旅」的計畫,倡導以尊重環境和人權的方式進行採購及採用可追溯來源的原材料。蕭邦先是透過採用經責任珠寶委員會(Responsible Jewellery Council,RJC)認證的鑽石宣示了品牌對於採礦與礦產來源的高度重視,緊接著正式推出了符合倫理道德標準與兼具美學設計的Green Carpet系列,這些作品所使用的原料從黃金到鑽石與彩寶皆獲有「公平採礦」認證,確保其生產過程遵守社會、環保和倫理道德標準。蕭邦在短短幾年的時間裡,大力推動「通往可持續發展奢侈產業之旅」的計劃落實,是首個支持金礦區獲得「公平採礦」認證的奢華鐘錶和珠寶公司。

日前蕭邦在台北萬豪飯店舉辦為期3天的貴賓鑑賞會中,展示了超過100件璀璨華麗的藍寶石、祖母綠、紅寶石以及黃鑽套組珠寶,而每件作品的每顆寶石都是經過蕭邦針對產區來源以及成色品質做過各個層面的嚴格挑選。其中紅地毯系列黃鑽項鍊、黃鑽耳環以及黃鑽腕錶,其柔媚一致的成色在白鑽的點綴下,閃耀嬌嫩的光澤,考驗的是蕭邦落實這樣一個挑戰度極高的計畫的決心,除了鑽石的來源須經過認證,包括所使用的18K白金也只選用完全符合道德標準獲有「公平採礦」認證的金質來製作。

蕭邦對社會關注的投入,一直視奉獻和慷慨為品牌的核心價值,除了推動龐大且執行難度極高的「通往可持續發展奢侈產業之旅」計畫之外,蕭邦另外還透過推出Happy Hearts系列的特殊款式支持關愛特殊兒童的赤子之心基金會。「當我們有幸過著幸福美好的生活,便應當仁不讓地幫助那些在生活中經歷困境的人。」蕭邦聯合總裁暨創意總監Caroline Scheufele以如此良善與堅定的信念持續落實慈善事業。

Chopard Green Carpet Collection

Chopard currently is a high jewelry brand in the industry that actively contributes to the spirit of sustainable development. Since 2013, Chopard has officially launched the “The Journey to Sustainable Luxury” program. It supports the procurement and the use of traceable raw materials in a way that respects the environment and human rights. Chopard first announced the brand’s high concerns for mining and mineral sources through the use of Responsible Jewelry Council (RJC)-certified diamonds. Next, followed by the official launch of the Green Carpet collection that sets a standard for morality and aesthetics. The raw materials from gold to diamonds and all colorful gemstones used in the designs are certified by Alliance for Responsible Mining as “fairmined.” The certification ensures that their production processes comply with social, environmental and moral standards. In only a few years, Chopard vigorously promoted the project “The Journey To Sustainable Luxury,” and became the first luxury watch and jewelry company that supports the “fairmined” certification in gold mining areas.

Recently, Chopard organized a three-day VIP exhibition of appreciation. At the Taipei Marriott Hotel, Chopard showcased more than 100 gorgeous sapphire, emerald, ruby, and yellow diamond sets. Each design is directed by Chopard to ensure that the source of the production area and the quality of the color have been carefully selected from all aspects. Among the jewelry, the yellow diamond necklace, earrings and watch in the red carpet series, have a charming shimmer and consistent color. In addition, the white diamonds gleam showing the determination of Chopard to implement such a highly challenging project. In addition to the certification of the source of the diamond, the 18K white gold being used is only made with “fairmined” gold that is fully certified.

Chopard’s engagement in society’s concern has always regarded self-giving and generosity as the core value of its brand. In addition to promoting the vast scale and extremely difficult projects such as “The Journey To Sustainable Luxury,” Chopard also supports the Naked Heart Foundation with the Happy Hearts Collection to benefit the children with special needs. “When you’re lucky enough to lead a charmed life, it is only right to help those for whom life is a trial” Caroline Scheufele, Artistic Director and Co-President of Chopard, continues to support the charity with her good and firm belief.

同樣對慈善關注的還包括寶格麗,寶格麗自2009年與救助兒童會展開了合作關係,並邀請世界著名攝影師Fabrizio Ferri為世界各國明星拍攝宣傳照,藉由明星的影響力引起世人對於這項慈善活動的關注和支持。每年寶格麗皆會以Save the Children之名推出珠寶作品,從戒指、吊墜到手鍊,且將一定比例的銷售額捐助至「救助兒童會」,對幫助世界上弱勢的兒童及青少年提供實質上的金援幫助。今年適逢寶格麗與救助兒童會合作十年紀念,寶格麗還特別推出了鑲飾有縞瑪瑙和單顆紅寶石的10週年純銀項鍊,是歷年來Save the Children系列中最具意義的一款作品。

BVlgari, another brand that is concerned about the charity. BVlgari’s partnership with Save the Children in 2009, has invited Fabrizio Ferri, a world-renowned photographer for shootings with celebrities from all over the world. With the influence of celebrities, BVlgari calls for support from the world for this charity event. BVlgari releases jewelry designs on behalf of Save the Children every year. From rings and pendants to bracelets, a percentage of revenues will be donated to Save the Children for helping disadvantaged children and youth with funding. This year, BVlgari and Save the Children partnership marked its 10th anniversary. Bulgari released a 10th-anniversary sterling silver necklace with onyx and a single ruby. It is the most meaningful design in the Save the Children Collection over the years.

TIFFANY & CO.則是以關懷野生動物以及延續保育大自然的承諾為出發點,推出了Save the Wild系列,並將全數獲利用於支持各種瀕危物種保護。Save the Wild系列此次推出的大象、犀牛與獅子,並非只是造型可愛的動物,而是一個個瀕危的物種,面對的是即將滅絕的未來,TIFFANY & CO.希望藉由募得這一系列的銷售資金為瀕危物種創造未來,致力於遏止對野生動物製品的非法取得,為野生動物保育盡一份心力。

Luxury products engaged in charity is a movement. Through the promotion of a brand and raising funds, more people will pay attention to social or environmental issues and care about the disadvantaged groups.
