「海納百川，有容乃大。」八字箴言，恰好點出雲豹能源發言人張建偉的企業核心。自順風順水的金融業轉戰再生能源，人生彷彿彎了一百八十度，他笑答不論各行各業，心態皆是一致的，「我的邏輯很簡單『做什麼像什麼』。」從不熟稔台語，如今卻能與地方人士流利對答，如飽滿稻穗般，以虛懷若谷之姿勾勒腦海裡的未來藍圖。

勿以善小而不為

說起轉換跑道的契機，張建偉表示起初源自兒女對於父親的職業困惑，也讓他開始思量子女所捎來的是福與德，而金融業則是一個零額有限，一得必有一失之財，「假設一個人一千萬可以過的很好，那我損失了多少人的一千萬？」為了尋找利人利己的志業，歷經茫然兩年，因緣際會下，讓張建偉遇到了如今的雲豹能源合夥人。「他跟我說有一個事業，第一靠天吃飯，第二銀行出資支持，第三這個市場裡沒有輸家，我說這個應該是詐騙。」2012 年他與夥伴一同前往福島，先於日本發展了三年的綠能產業，穩健成長後，便將投資目光放回台灣，於 2016 年正式成立雲豹能源。

他更透露創立主軸在於「我能為下一代做什麼？給他錢還是德，或是給他一個好的環境？」秉持勿以善小而不為，他堅信也冀望能為下一代捎來改變，更笑答孩子如今能自然地跟老師說「爸爸是做再生能源，台灣很有名的。」話語至此，眼裡滿是慈愛。

志存高遠育良才

「雲豹」帶有耐心、速度與精準之意象，其性情也與張建偉喜愛追求挑戰的個人特質不謀而合，「我是一個慢不下來的人，會追求效率與速度，同時兼具耐心。」對於工作上的自我要求，他透露有三大遵循準則：人上人的專業、人中人的溝通、人下人的態度，「我會保持最好的專業，講你聽得懂的話，用最謙卑的態度講給你聽。」談起良好企業家的要點，張建偉認為「海納百川」至關重要，以自身舉例，當公司成長幅度越大，他便一路從董事長、總經理、策略長、公關長退至現今的發言人，將舞台留給各方人才盡情發揮，從不糾結頭角崢嶸，放眼整體長遠發展，為張建偉極具大智慧的邏輯思維。

而雲豹能源不僅戮力於公益，更跨越教育計畫及培養體育人才，憶起桃園雲豹的成立主因，源自去年東奧深受台灣選手的澎湃熱血感動，一時的起心動念，卻意外讓東風主動找上門，笑說此生沒遇過比經營球隊更難的事，「但我覺得起碼有一件事做到了，我照顧了這些運動員，能鼓勵更多人來支持運動。」

解套人生考古題

常言人非聖賢，孰能無過。當面臨挫敗時，如何轉換自我心態，儼然成了現代人一大修養課題。對此張建偉認為失敗是構築成功背後的一個基本因素，不論大小，每次的失敗皆是經驗獲取的一大來源，「我是一路失敗，從金融轉過來十個月沒有收成，那是很浮誇的一件事。」自嘲因年輕太常輸，爾後輸習慣了，便不再視失敗為可恥，更喜愛與他人分享失敗，「我很珍惜每一次成功，到後來我發現一直在成功，就代表失敗我已經膩了。」亦如寫了無數卷的生命考古題，當所有答案皆已知曉，並懂得從中換位思考，運用不同方式解套各樣難題，造就了張建偉而今最強大的人生技能。

巧妙的是，他也將相同思路轉譯於兒女教育，「好的科目才去補習，因為那是你可以讓別人看見的鋒芒，也是你唯一人上人的專業。」尋得提升自我價值的生命武器，方是從容應對風水流轉的一大安定劑。

對於來日計畫，張建偉盼望雲豹能源能化作台灣人的靠山，成為一家永盈利的公司，一支屹立不搖且人人記得的股票。放手退居最前線，將重心放至公司擺不平的難題，他則相當樂此不彼，「我很喜歡解決一些解決不了的事情，享受那個成就感。」從容自信的語調，悄然蘊藏了日後無垠可能。

“All rivers run into the sea.” One simple sentence aptly points out the core of Johnny Chang’s enterprise, J&V Energy Technology. Switching from finance to renewable energy, it was as if his life took a 180 degree turn. Regardless of the industry he is in or the career path he is on, his mentality remains unchanged. “My logic is simple: just make it happen.” Like how he was able to go from not knowing Taiwanese at all, to having fluent conversations with locals, Chang’s dedication outlines his future in a blueprint with humility and generosity. 

Kindness Comes in all Scales 

Initially, the opportunity to change his career path appeared when his kids expressed confusion towards his job. Chang began to reflect on the blessings and virtues brought by his children, while realizing the financial industry essentially gains money through other’s losses. “Assuming that a person can do well with ten million, how many people’s ten million have I lost already?” After two years of searching for a business that benefits himself and the public, he finally met his current business partner. “He told me about a business that, first, profits from nature. Secondly, it is backed by the bank, and lastly, presents no losers in its market. I said it all sounds like a fraud.” In 2012, Chang visited Fukushima with his partner and developed a green energy enterprise for three years. After steadying its growth, they set their sights on investment back to Taiwan and officially founded J&V Energy Technology in 2016. “What can I bring to the next generation? Money, virtue, or perhaps a better environment?” It was a question he asked himself repeatedly during the development of his company. A believer of never leaving a good undone, whether the deed is big or small, Chang aspires to bring change for the next generation. With eyes shining with compassion, he smiles and says his kids can finally tell their teacher what he does—“My dad is in the renewable energy business. He’s pretty famous in Taiwan.” 

Aim High, Cultivate Talents 

The Chinese name of J&V—“clouded leopard”—is an emblem of patience, speed and precision, which is also aligned with Chang’s love for challenges. “I find it hard to slow down. I’m always in pursuit of efficiency and speed, but I’m also patient.” To maintain self-discipline, he believes there are three major guidelines: professionalism, proper communication and respectful work ethics. “I will maintain my best professionalism and choose a language of your understanding, while speaking with the most humble attitude.” When it comes to the key to becoming a good entrepreneur, Chang points out that generosity is extremely important. Taking himself as an example, as the company continues to grow, his position gradually retreats. From being chairman, general manager, chief of strategy, chief of public relations, to his current position as the spokesperson of the company, he wants to leave the stage to the talented people who need it. Never fixated on competition, Chang sets his focus on the bigger picture and branches out towards philanthropy, education and sports management. Recalling the main reason behind building the Taoyuan Leopards basketball team, it is the Taiwanese athletes who attended the Olympic Games in Tokyo back in 2020. A moment of thought was made possible when the right opportunity presented itself. Chuckling, Chang says there is perhaps nothing harder than managing a sports team. “But I’m glad because we achieved something. We took care of these athletes and encouraged more people to support these sports games.” 

Solving Life Problems 

It is often said that no one is a saint. In the face of defeat, finding the proper way to adjust our mindset has become a topic for all modern people. Regardless of its scale, Chang finds defeat to be an important element in achieving success. Every mistake is the perfect opportunity to gain experience. “I have failed so many times along the way. When I first transitioned from finance, I didn’t make any profit for ten months. It was crazy.” He teasingly says he is so used to failures that he no longer sees them as something shameful. Instead, he is more than happy to share his experiences with others. “I cherish each and every success. Eventually, I realize the reason that I keep succeeding is because I got tired of failing.” Like having taken all the exams in life, once you know all the answers, you learn how to solve each problem by utilizing different techniques—it has become Chang’s most powerful life skill. Interestingly, he applies the same method to parenting. “Only spend extra time on the subjects that you are good at because that is how you stand out from everyone else. You turn your expertise into your profession.” By learning how to enhance your value and turn it into a personal advantage, you will then acquire the best stabilizer in the face of challenges and defeat. Setting his vision on to future plans, Chang aspires for J&V Technology to become an important pillar of Taiwan, a company that will always be making profit and a stock that will be remembered by all. Retreating from the frontline, he now turns his focus to complex problems the company is having trouble resolving. “I like solving the unsolvable and enjoy the sense of achievement,” says Johnny Chang, with a confident tone embodying the infinite possibilities of his future.
